Note: Artists are able to exhibit at K-Visual for three consecutive years. You will need to take a year out if you wish to apply to K-Visual again.

Exceptions to this rule:

If you previously exhibited as a collective, you may now submit as a solo artist and vice versa.

If selected, your name and an example of your art will be featured on our website before and during K-Visual to give visiting collectors, gallery owners, and buyers an opportunity to familiarise themselves with your art.

K-Visual organisers reserve the right to photograph works and to use elements of accepted entries for exhibition for publicity purposes, unless the artist expressly states the contrary in writing beforehand. Copyright of all work is the property of the artist.

Each artist will be assigned to a pop-up exhibition space. The pop-up spaces and hanging areas provided to each artist might vary slightly due to the nature of different venue sizes, quantity, and size of each artist’s artwork. Our experienced curators allocate the most appropriate space for each artist. We use vacant, disused properties such as an old shop, hardware store or an unfinished hotel as well as borrowed spaces such the walls of a café or backroom of a pub.

Occupancy of specific areas inside your assigned pop-up space is all pre-allocated by the K-Visual curatorial team.

All accepted artists must be present for the duration of the entire festival. In addition, either the artist or a representative should be present in your respective exhibition space for the duration of the entire festival. An important part of K-Visual is about openness to conversation, between artists and between arts and the community. We have also found that artists who engage with our visitors are more likely to achieve mulitple sales and/or commissioned work.

K-Visual provides evening meals for all artists on Friday & Saturday of the festival.

In addition, K-Visual works with local high-standard B&Bs and guesthouses to ensure that visiting artists are guaranteed the best value for their stay during the festival.  K-Visual will also provide a list of local people who are willing to offer accommodation for the Friday & Saturday of the Festival.

We are able to offer a contribution to travel costs if required. This is for selected artists who have to travel 25km or further to be able to take part in K-Visual.

Additionally, artists exhibiting at K-Visual must agree to the following:

  • Artists are responsible for sourcing their own projectors, TV, and audio-visual equipment and relevant insurance if needed.
  • Each artist is responsible for the transport of their own work to and from the festival.
  • Due to our insurance policy, all work must be removed from galleries by 8pm on Sunday 6th September.
