Ava McKenna is an emerging artist based in Kerry, currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at LSAD. Her work weaves together themes of Irish cultural traditions, heritage, mythology and folklore. Images of old Ireland remain at the centre of her practice. Working primarily in oil paint, Ava uses this visual language to explore memory and identity. Drawing from old photographs and oral tradition, she creates evocative compositions that reconnect viewers with the past, bridging personal and collective histories. Ava has exhibited in the Siamsa Tíre, The Hunt Museum and at KFest arts festival.
